Shayla Dvorak (Class of 2008) was a three-time letterwinner and a three-time captain for the Openweight Squad at Wisconsin. She joined the team as a walk-on and quickly caught the rowing bug helping the Varsity 4 earn a 5th place finish at the NCAA Championships in 2005. Shayla also earned a 3rd place NCAA finish in the 2V8 in 2006, a Big Ten Championship in 2008 and a NCAA 7th place in the 2V8 the same year. She spent 4 years coaching juniors at Camp Randall Rowing Club in Madison, WI from 2014-2018. Outside of rowing, Shayla runs races from 5k to 50 miles, loves to cook and bake to show her love, and she’s never far from a dog or two.
